Making Math Fun with Mrs. Bruno!

This year we are trying something new in the 8th grade math classes, an interactive notebook! It is an exciting, hands on, and fun way to keep students’ notebooks colorful and creative. It also allows them opportunities to doodle in their notebooks in a good and acceptable way! Our goal is to make each lesson have something engaging and hands on that they create and then tape into their notebook to use as their notes. This could be a foldable, graphic organizer, graphs, flip ups for vocabulary words, and lots and lots of math coloring assignments. So far, it has been a success! The students have been enjoying the lessons, and we have been enjoying teaching them! Now when you ask your child what they did in math class today, you can also ask, “What does it look like?”
