Homecoming is a time in which schools across the country welcome back their alumni. This tradition can include many fun activities for students and teachers, such as a rivalry football game, parade, pep rally, dance, homecoming court, and “dress-up” days. Homecoming week at Lewisburg Middle School is complete with a few of these. Every year, the student council decides what each “dress-up” day will be. This year they chose to have Music Genre Day, Movie Day, Jock/Nerd Day, Patriot Day, and Monster/Zombie Day. We also had a schoolwide door decorating competition. Students were asked to help their teachers decorate their classroom door for homecoming week. The winning classes will receive a pizza party. This was a fun week for students to come together and show their Patriot Pride!

Music Genre Day
Thursday was also Game Day! Our 8th Grade football team played the Southaven Chargers. In order to show their school spirit, students were asked to wear all of their Patriot gear. We had a pep rally during school to get everyone ready for the big game. During the pep rally, the homecoming court was presented to the entire school. They were also escorted at the football game. Congratulations to Allie Smith as she was named our 2015 Homecoming Queen!
